Eligibility in University School of Chemical Technology GGSIPU
Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. The candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying exam.
Note 1: The SC/ ST/ Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel/ PwD applicants are given a relaxation of 5% of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.
Note 2: Those who have appeared in the qualifying exam may also apply, provided that they submit the proof of eligibility on or before 30th September of the academic year of admission. The candidate’s age should not be beyond 21 years as on 1st August of the academic year of admission.
Admission Procedure in University School of Chemical Technology GGSIPU
The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi invites On-line Applications in the month of April/May every year. All the candidates are required to register & fill the Application form On-line only. The admission is based on the merit/ rank in the
JEE (Main) Paper 1 conducted by National Testing Agency (For details visit
www.nta.ac.in or
https://jeemain.nta.nic.in). The Centralized Counselling is conducted by GGSIPU (For details visit
http://ipu.ac.in).
Note 1: 85% seats are reserved for “Delhi Region Candidates” (i.e. those who have passed the qualifying exam from any School/ Institute located in NCT of Delhi. The candidates who have passed the qualifying exam through Distance/ Open Education system of any recognized University/ Institute and had his/ her Study Centres in Delhi).
Note 2: The remaining 15% seats are reserved for “Outside Delhi Region Candidates” (i.e. those who have passed the qualifying exam from any School/ Institute located outside Delhi. The candidates who have passed the qualifying exam through Distance/ Open Education system of any recognized University/ Institute and had his/her Study Centres outside Delhi).

B.E./ B.Tech. in Chemical Engg. or equivalent with valid GATE score in CH or qualified in CET for MTECH (CE).
Note 1: The General category candidates should have scored 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying exam. The SC/ ST/ Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel/ PwD applicants are given a relaxation of 5% of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.
Note 2: Those who have appeared in the qualifying exam may also apply, provided that they submit the proof of eligibility on or before 30th September of the academic year of admission. The candidate’s age should not be beyond 35 years as on 1st August of the academic year of admission.
Admission Procedure in University School of Chemical Technology GGSIPU
The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi invites On-line Applications in the month of April/May every year. All the candidates are required to register & fill the Application form On-line only. The admission is based on the score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (
GATE) conducted jointly by the IISc and all the IITs. The seats remaining vacant, thereafter, are filled on the basis of marks secured in the CET for MTECH conducted by GGSIPU. The Centralized Counselling for both the categories is conducted by GGSIPU (For details visit http://ipu.ac.in).

Ph.D. Programs:
- Ph.D. Chemical Technology
Eligibility in University School of Chemical Technology GGSIPU
M.Tech. or equivalent degree in Chemical Technology/ Chemical Engg./ Allied fields by the corresponding statutory regulatory body scoring 55% marks with valid GATE score in CH or qualified in CET for Ph.D (CT). The SC/ ST/ PwD applicants are given a relaxation of 5% of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.
Note: The candidate should not have completed an age of 55 years at the time of submission of Application for admission to Ph.D. Program. A relaxation in the prescribed age beyond 55 years can, however, be recommended by the SRC with appropriate justification recorded and for final approval by the VC.
Admission Procedure in University School of Chemical Technology GGSIPU
The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi invites On-line Applications in the month of February/March every year. All the candidates are required to register & fill the Application form On-line only. The admission is based on the score in the CET for Ph.D comprising of two Sections : (i) Research Methodology (ii) Subject Specific Test conducted by GGSIPU. Based on the performance in the Written Test, a list of candidates, short-listed by the Ph.D. admission committee to appear in the Interview, is displayed on the University Website (For details visit http://ipu.ac.in).
The candidates who have cleared a National Level Exam like CSIR/ UGC-NET-JRF/Lecturership, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, or equivalent fellowship are exempted from CET and can appear directly for the Interview.
Note: The ‘equivalent’ qualifications and ‘relevant’ field for admission to Ph.D. is verified and certified by the Ph.D. admission committee of GGSIPU at the time of the Interview.
The Foreign Nationals who possess the above prescribed educational qualifications should apply to the Director of International Affairs on a prescribed proforma, along with the application fee, translated and attested copies of Certificates, Passport and Documents regarding curriculum and marks obtained in the qualifying exam, Statement of purpose, Research compatibility, Financial support, Language competency, etc. The candidates are short-listed based on the criteria decided by the SRC of the School.
