Location of Mount Abu:

The Hill Station of Mount Abu is situated in the lush and verdant forests of the Aravali range of mountains in the Southwestern part of the Rajasthan State in the Western India. It is located in District Sirohi at an altitude 1,219 meters above sea level and is close to the borders of Gujarat State. The mountain forms a distinct rocky plateau 22 Km long and 9 Km wide. The highest peak on the mountain is Guru Shikhar, at 1722 meters above sea level.

It is located at a distance of about 185 Km from Udaipur City, 221 Km from Ahmedabad City, 264 Km from Jodhpur City, 500 Km from Jaipur City and 765 Km from Delhi.

Climate of Mount Abu:

Mount Abu’s has a pleasent climate due to its rich dense green forest cover. It experiences four main Seasons –

• Summer – From March to June when maximum temperature remains between 31^oC to 34^oC.
• Monsoon – From July to Mid-September when it receives the highest amount of rainfall in Rajasthan, average rainfall during monsoon is 70-180 cm and temperature of 22^oC.
• Post Monsoon – From Mid-September to October end when average temperature remains around 18^oC.
• Winters – From November to February when minimum temperature falls to around -8^oC (during night), while average Day temperature remains around 10^oC. The Month of January is the coldest one.
