Location of Bundi :

The District of Bundi is situated in Rajasthan State of Northwestern India. It is 5850.5 Sq. Km in area. It is surrounded by District Tonk on the North, District Bhilwara on the West, District Chittorgarh on the Southwest, District Kota on the South, Southeast and Northeast and River Chambal on the South and East. The City of Bundi is the headquarter of this District.

This District was named after a Meena Chieftain Bunda and is called the ‘Queen of Hadoti region of Rajasthan’. It is famous for its Baolis and Forts.

This District has been divided into 5 Tehsils –

Tehsils – Bundi, Hindoli, Nainwa, Indergarh, Keshoraipatan

Climate of Bundi :

The Climate of this District is quite dry with three main Seasons –

  • Summer – From April to June when maximum temperature rises to 44oC and average temperature remains around 36oC.
  • Monsoon – From July to September when temperature falls to around 30oC, while humidity level rises to 80%.
  • Winters – From October to March when minimum temperature falls to around 5oC and average Day temperature remains around 25oC.
