Passed I.S.C. Examination (12-year course) of the CISCE or S.S.C. Examination (12-year course) of CBSE or Any other examination recognized as equivalent to S.S.C. Examination from a recognized School/College/Institute and securing 60% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The candidates must have passed English as a subject of study of the S.S.C. Examination Level (Core or Elective) and he/she must have passed in each subject separately. The candidate must have been declared eligible for Central Counselling by the CBSE.
Note 1 : There is no minimum age requirement for both categories of candidates.
Note 2 : The SC/ST category candidate is required to just pass in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The OBC-NCL category candidate should have scored 54% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The Defence category & PD candidate should have scored 57% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Note 3 : 85% of the total seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Delhi Region (Students passing the qualifying examination from recognized Board/ College/ Institution located within the NCT of Delhi only) and 15% of the total seats for candidates belonging to outside Delhi Region (Students passing the qualifying examination from recognized Board/ College/ Institution located outside the NCT of Delhi). For a candidate who has passed the qualifying examination through Patrachar Vidyalaya, Delhi/ National Institute of Open School, Delhi, the criterion for deciding the region shall be the location of his Centre of examination.

The admission is based on the score in the JEE (Main) Exam conducted by JEE Apex Board of the C.B.S.E. (For details visit www.jeemain.nic.in) and marks scored (normalized) in the Class 12th or 10+2 in the ratio of 60:40. The On-Line Counselling for admission is conducted by Joint Admission Counselling (JAC Delhi). The candidates are required to fill Online Application Form for admission (For details visit www.jacdelhi.nic.in/Candidate/Default.aspx).
Note : The admissions of Foreign Nationals/ Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/ Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) under Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) is based on the score in the SAT (For details visit www.dasanit.org/dasa2016/).

Four Academic years comprising of 8 Semesters.

For M. Tech. Information System: B.E./ B.Tech. or equivalent Degree in Computer Engg./ Computer Science & Engg./ Software Engg./ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics & Communication Engg. OR A.M.I.E. (India) with appropriate specialization/Grad. I.E.T.E. (India)/ AMIE (London) or any other examination in the concerned branch with valid GATE score in CS.
For M. Tech. Signal Processing: B.E./ B.Tech. or equivalent Degree in Electronics & Communication Engg./ Electronics Engg./ Electrical Engg./ Instrumentation & Control Engg./ Computer Engg./ Information Technology OR A.M.I.E. (India) with appropriate specialization/Grad. I.E.T.E. (India)/ AMIE (London) or any other examination in the concerned branch with valid GATE score in EC.
For M. Tech. Process Control: B.E./ B.Tech. or equivalent Degree in Electrical Engg./ Electrical & Electronics Engg./ Electronics & Communication Engg./ Instrumentation & Control Engg./ Chemical Engg./ Polymer Engg./ Mechanical Engg./ Manufacturing Processes & Automation Engg. OR A.M.I.E. (India) with appropriate specialization/Grad. I.E.T.E. (India)/ AMIE (London) or any other examination in the concerned branch with valid GATE score in EE/EC/IN.
Note 1 : A candidate should be at least 21 years of age before the first day of October 2016.
Note 2 : For Full Time Sponsored Course & Part Time Course – In addition to fulfilling the above stated eligibility criteria, the candidates must have minimum one year’s full time work experience in a registered firm/ company/ Industry/ Educational & Research Institutes/ any Govt. Department or Govt. Autonomous organizations in the relevant field.

The admission to M.Tech. (Full Time Course) is based on the score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and all the Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The admission to M.Tech. (Full Time Sponsored Course & Part Time Course) is based on the score in the Qualifying examination, Written Test and Interview/ Viva-Voce (For details visit http://nsit.nic.in/publicinfo/public/home.aspx).
Note : The Foreign Students can directly apply to NSIT for M. Tech. admission. All such candidates must obtain NOC from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.

Two Academic years comprising of 4 Semesters for Full Time Course, Three Academic years comprising of 6 Semesters for Part Time Course.

Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology in the relevant Discipline (ECE, ICE, MPAE) securing 70% or more marks in aggregate and Master’s Degree in Science or equivalent in relevant area of Applied Sciences & Bio-Technology securing 70% or more marks in aggregate. The candidate appearing in the qualifying exams must ensure that their final results (with requisite marks) are declared before the date of Interview.

A Written Test is organized on the Departmental level. The selection of the short listed candidates after Written Test is made by the selection committee of the respective Department. The final selection is made on the basis of the performance of the candidate in Written Test, Power Point Presentation on any area of his/her interest (preferably research area) and Interview (For details visit http://nsit.nic.in/publicinfo/public/home.aspx).

Any recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 50% marks in aggregate OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or any other subject or any qualification recognized as equivalent thereto with 50% marks in aggregate OR Passed the Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
85% of the total seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Delhi Region (Students passing the qualifying examination from recognized Board/ College/ Institution located within the NCT of Delhi only) and 15% of the total seats for candidates belonging to outside Delhi Region (Students passing the qualifying examination from recognized Board/ College/ Institution located outside the NCT of Delhi).

The admission is based on the score in the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (For details visit www.aicte-cmat.in). The Counselling for admission is conducted at the Institute level (For details visit www.nsit.ac.in/).
