Two legends are associated regarding the construction of the Temple. According to one legend, a beautiful Princess resided in this region, whose step mother did not like her love affair with the King’s son at Mount Abu. The Princess died young and the Temple was built in her memory on the banks of the Lake and was dedicated to Lord Raghunath Ji.
According to another legend, Shri Ramanand Swami Ji, a Great Saint installed the statue of Lord Raghunath Ji inside this Temple. It is believed that by paying a homage here, every visitor is relieved of all the sufferings.
