For Indian Students (all categories)/ Foreign Nationals/ PIO/ NRI Students: B.E./ B.Tech. or equivalent Degree in Chemical Engg./ Computer Engg./ Electrical Engg./ Electronics Engg./ Mechanical Engg./ Production Engg./ Instrumentation Engg./ Bio-Medical Engg. OR M.Sc. in Physics or Electronics or Instrumentation (as approved by AICTE), with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
Admission Procedure in University Centre for Instrumentation and Microelectronics PU
For Indian Students (all categories): The admission is based on the score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted jointly by the IISc and all the IITs. The candidates are required to apply on the Admission form available at Website (http://forms.puchd.ac.in) to the Director, UCIM, P.U. Chandigarh in the month of June/July. For preparing the merit list, 50% weightage is given to GATE score & 50% to the Academic Performance (For details visit http://ucim.puchd.ac.in). For Foreign Nationals/ PIO/ NRI Students: These candidates are required to submit their academic certificates as a proof of passing the qualifying exam. They have to compete amongst themselves for the seats created for them. They have to comply with Visa and any other requirements prescribed by the Govt. of India, U.T. Administration, Chandigarh as well as Panjab University, Chandigarh from time to time.
