The admission is based on the score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE conducted jointly by the IISc and all the IITs’. The seats remaining vacant, thereafter, are filled on the basis of PU-CET (P.G.) Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh and an Interview. The duration of the Entrance Test is 1 hour 30 minutes and it consists of 75 multiple choice questions of one mark each. The syllabus is based broadly on the course contents generally covered during the qualifying examinations.
