Eligibility in Dr S S Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology
Passed 10+2 or Class 12th Exam or any other equivalent exam with Language, Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/PwD applicants) in the above subjects taken together. For Seats under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (EWS) : The candidates should have passed the qualifying exam in 1st class in 60% marks & his/her total family income from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh per year.

The admission of candidates of all categories including Supernumerary Seats for Kashmiri Migrants & Under TFWS is based on the merit/ rank in the JEE (Main) Paper 1 conducted by National Testing Agency (For details visit www.nta.ac.in or https://jeemain.nta.nic.in). The admission is based on the score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE conducted jointly by the IISc and all the IITs’. The seats remaining vacant, thereafter, are filled on the basis of PU-CET (P.G.) Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh and an Interview. The duration of the Entrance Test is 1 hour 30 minutes and it consists of 75 multiple choice questions of one mark each. The syllabus is based broadly on the course contents generally covered during the qualifying examinations. The admission is based on the score in the PU-CET (P.G.) Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh and an Interview. The duration of the Entrance Test is of 1 hour 30 minutes and it consists of 75 multiple choice questions of one mark each consisting of 20 questions in Physics, 20 questions in Chemistry, 20 questions in Industrial Chemistry & 15 questions in Mathematics. The Fee to be paid for different courses for the year 2016-2017 in Dr S S Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology is as follows:
The fee for B.E. course for Indian students belonging to Open & Other reserved categories is Rs. 17,567/- per annum. The fee for NRI category candidates is USD 6480 + USD 680 + Rs. 7,857/-.
