Location of Dausa:
The District of Dausa is situated in Rajasthan State of Northwestern India. It is 3404.78 Sq. Km. in area. It is surrounded by District Alwar on the North, District Bharatpur on the Northeast, District Sawai Madhopur on the Southeast and South, District Jaipur on the West, District Karauli on the Southeast and District Tonk on the Southwest. The City of Dausa is the headquarter of this District.
This District was created on 10 April, 1991 by taking four Tehsils of District Jaipur – Dausa, Baswa, Sikrai and Lalsot. Tehsil Mahwa of District Sawai Madhopur was included in this District on 15 August, 1992. This District is also known as Devnagri and is famous for Mehandipur Balaji Temple.

Climate of Dausa:
The Climate of this District is quite hot and dry. It experiences four main Seasons:
- Summer – From April to June when maximum temperature rises to 45oC and average temperature remains at 37oC.
- Monsoon – From July to Mid-September with average annual rainfall of 500-550 mm and temperature around 32oC.
- Post Monsoon – From Mid-September to October when average temperature remains around 27oC.
- Winters – From November to March when minimum temperature falls to around 9oC and average Day temperature remains around 20oC.
