Eligibility in Laxminarayan Institute of Technology
First Year of Engineering & Technology: For Maharashtra State Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and Passed the HSC or its equivalent exam with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects with 50% marks in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology with 50% marks. OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by the UGC with 50% marks. These candidates should have qualified MHT-CET. For All India Candidates/ J&K Migrant Candidates: Same as for M.S. Candidates. These candidates should have qualified MHT-CET/ JEE (Main) Paper-1. For B.Tech. Food Technology: XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics OR Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology. The candidates who have passed qualifying exam without Biology have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university. Note: The BC/ PwD applicants, belonging to Maharashtra State only, are given a relaxation of 5% of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.
Admission Procedure in Laxminarayan Institute of Technology
First Year of Engineering & Technology:
All the eligible candidates are required to apply to the Competent Authority for admission through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE, Maharashtra (For details visit www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in).
The Maharashtra State Seats [Home University (HU) seats, Other than Home University (OHU) seats] & Supernumerary Seats under TFWS are filled through CAP on the basis of the score in MHT-CET conducted by State CET Cell, Govt. of Maharashtra (For details visit www.mahacet.org).
The All India Seats & Supernumerary Seats for J&K Migrant Candidates are filled through CAP on the basis of the score in MHT-CET/ JEE (Main) Paper 1 conducted by National Testing Agency (For details visit www.nta.ac.in or https://jeemain.nta.nic.in). For B.Tech. Food Technology: The admission is based on the score in MHT-CET (PCM) conducted by State CET Cell, Govt. of Maharashtra (For details visit www.mahacet.org).
Eligibility in Laxminarayan Institute of Technology
For M.S. Candidates/ All India Candidates: For Non-Sponsored Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and Passed Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant branch of Engineering & Technology from AICTE or Central or State Government approved Institutions or equivalent with 50% marks (45% marks for BC/ PwD applicants belonging to Maharashtra State only). For Sponsored Candidates: Minimum of 2 years of full time work experience in a registered Firm/ Company/ Industry/ Educational and/or Research Institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought. For M.Tech. Chemical Engineering/ Food Technology/ Oil Technology/ Petrochemical Technology/ Paint Technology: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Chemical & Electro-Chemical Petroleum Engg. or Tech./ Chemical Engg. or Technology/ Petrochemical Engg. or Technology/ Petroleum Engg. or Technology/ Petrochemical Engg./ Petrochemicals/ Petroleum Refining & Petrochemicals/ Petroleum Refining Engg./ Pharmaceutical & Fine Chemical Technology/ Plastic and Polymer Engg. or Technology/ Plastic Technology, Polymer Engg. or Technology with valid GATE score in CH/CY.
Admission Procedure in Laxminarayan Institute of Technology
The admission is based on the score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted jointly by the IISc and all the IITs.
