First Year of Engineering & Technology:
For Maharashtra State Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and Passed the HSC or its equivalent exam with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects with 50% marks in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology with 50% marks. OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by the UGC with 50% marks. These candidates should have qualified MHT-CET.
For J&K Migrant Candidates: Same as for M.S. Candidates. These candidates should have qualified MHT-CET/ JEE (Main) Paper-1.
For B.Tech. Food Technology: XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics OR Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology. The candidates who have passed qualifying exam without Biology have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
For M.S. Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and should have Passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology with 45% marks in appropriate Branch of Engineering & Technology from an AICTE or Central or State Govt. approved Institution. OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC or AIU recognized University with 45% marks and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject, provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engg. Graphics/ Engg. Drawing & Engg. Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects.
Note: The BC/ PwD applicants, belonging to Maharashtra State only, are given a relaxation of 5% of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.

First Year of Engineering & Technology:
All the eligible candidates are required to apply to the Competent Authority for admission through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE, Maharashtra (For details visit www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in).
The Maharashtra State Seats [Home University (HU) seats, Other than Home University (OHU) seats], Supernumerary Seats for J&K Migrant Candidates & Supernumerary Seats under TFWS are filled through CAP on the basis of the score in MHT-CET conducted by State CET Cell, Govt. of Maharashtra (For details visit www.mahacet.org).
For B.Tech. Food Technology: The admission is based on the score in MHT-CET (PCM) conducted by State CET Cell, Govt. of Maharashtra (For details visit www.mahacet.org).
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
All the eligible candidates are required to apply to the Competent Authority for admission through CAP conducted by DTE, Maharashtra. The admission is based on the marks secured in the qualifying exam (For details visit www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in).

Four Academic years comprising of 8 Semesters, Three Academic years comprising of 6 Semesters for lateral entry candidates.

For M.S. Candidates:
For Non-Sponsored Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and Passed Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant branch of Engineering & Technology from AICTE or Central or State Government approved Institutions or equivalent with 50% marks (45% marks for BC/ PwD applicants belonging to Maharashtra State only).
For Sponsored Candidates: Minimum of 2 years of full time work experience in a registered Firm/ Company/ Industry/ Educational and/or Research Institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.
For M.Tech. Computer Science & Technology: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Computer Hardware & Software/ Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Computer Engg. or Technology/ Computer Science & Engg. or Technology/ Biomedical/ Biomedical Instrumentation/ Medical Electronics/ Process Electronics/ Bio Instrumentation/ Computer Telecommunication/ Electrical & Electronics Engg./ Electrical & Power Engg./ Electrical Engg. (Electrical & Power)/ Electrical Engg. (Electronics & Power)/ Electrical Engg./ Electronics & Power Engg./ Electronics & Communication Engg. or Technology/ Electronics & Instrumentation Engg./ Electronics & Telecommunication Engg./ Electronics & Telecommunication Engg. For M.Tech. Electronics Technology: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Computer Hardware & Software/ Biomedical/ Biomedical Instrumentation/ Medical Electronics/ Process Electronics/ Bio Instrumentation/ Bio Medical Engg./ Electrical & Electronics (Power System)/ Electrical & Electronics Engg./ Electrical & Power Engg./ Electrical Engg. (Electrical & Power)/ Electrical Engg. (Electronics & Power)/ Electrical Engg./ Electronics & Power Engg./ Electrochemical Engg./ Electronics & Communication Engg. or Technology/ Electronics & Instrumentation Engg./ Electronics & Telecommunication Engg./ Electronics & Telecommunication Engg. Energy Technology: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Agricultural Engg./ Chemical Engg./ Civil & Water Management Engg./ Civil Engg./ Electrical & Electronics (Power System)/ Electrical & Electronics Engg./ Electrical & Power Engg./ Electrical Engg. (Electrical & Power)/ Electrical Engg. (Electronics & Power)/ Electrical Engg./ Electronics & Power/ Energy/ Energy & Environmental Engg./ Environmental Engg./ Environmental Science & Technology/ Industrial & Production Engg./ Industrial Engg./ Mechanical & Automation Engg./ Mechanical & Energy/ Mechanical Automation Engg./ Mechanical Engg./ Mechanical Engg. (Sandwich)/ Power Engg./ Production Engg./ Production Engg. (Sandwich) with valid GATE score in CH/CY/ME.
For M.Tech. Environmental Science & Technology: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Bio Technology/ Civil & Water Management Engg./ Civil Engg./ Construction Engg./ Energy & Environmental Engg./ Environmental Engg./ Industrial Engg./ Petrochemical Engg. or Technology/ Petroleum Engg. or Technology/ Petrochemical Engg./ Petrochemicals/ Petroleum Refining & Petrochemicals OR M. Sc. in Environmental Science/ Bio Technology with valid GATE score in BT/CH/CE/XE/GG.
For M.Tech. Food Technology: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Food Technology/ Dairy Technology/ Biotechnology/ Fermentation Technology/ Bio Process Engg. OR M. Sc. in Food Science/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry or equivalent OR B. Pharmacy with valid GATE score in BT/CH/CY.

The admission is based on the score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted jointly by the IISc and all the IITs.
For Maharashtra State Seats [Non-Sponsored & Sponsored seats]: the GATE qualified & eligible candidates are required to fill up & submit Online Application form on the Website (www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in) & participate in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE, Maharashtra (For details visit www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in).

Two Academic years comprising of 4 Semesters.
