First Year of Engineering & Technology:
For Maharashtra State Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and Passed the HSC or its equivalent exam with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects with 50% marks in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology with 50% marks. OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by the UGC with 50% marks. These candidates should have qualified MHT-CET.
For J&K Migrant Candidates: Same as for M.S. Candidates. These candidates should have qualified MHT-CET/ JEE (Main) Paper-1.
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
For M.S. Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and should have Passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology with 45% marks in appropriate Branch of Engineering & Technology from an AICTE or Central or State Govt. approved Institution. OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC or AIU recognized University with 45% marks and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject, provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engg. Graphics/ Engg. Drawing & Engg. Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects.
Note: The BC/ PwD applicants, belonging to Maharashtra State only, are given a relaxation of 5% of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.

First Year of Engineering & Technology:
All the eligible candidates are required to apply to the Competent Authority for admission through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE, Maharashtra (For details visit www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in).
The Maharashtra State Seats [State Level (SL) seats] & Supernumerary Seats under TFWS are filled through CAP on the basis of the score in MHT-CET conducted by State CET Cell, Govt. of Maharashtra (For details visit www.mahacet.org).
The Supernumerary Seats for J&K Migrant Candidates are filled through CAP on the basis of the score in MHT-CET/ JEE (Main) Paper 1 conducted by National Testing Agency (For details visit www.nta.ac.in or https://jeemain.nta.nic.in).
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
All the eligible candidates are required to apply to the Competent Authority for admission through CAP conducted by DTE, Maharashtra. The admission is based on the marks secured in the qualifying exam (For details visit www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in).

Four Academic years comprising of 8 Semesters, Three Academic years comprising of 6 Semesters for lateral entry candidates.

For M.S. Candidates:
For Non-Sponsored Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and Passed Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant branch of Engineering & Technology from AICTE or Central or State Government approved Institutions or equivalent with 50% marks (45% marks for BC/ PwD applicants belonging to Maharashtra State only).
For Sponsored Candidates: Minimum of 2 years of full time work experience in a registered Firm/ Company/ Industry/ Educational and/or Research Institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.
For M.Tech. Environmental Engineering/ Structural Engineering: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Civil & Water Management Engg./ Civil Engg./ Construction Engg./ Energy & Environmental Engg./ Environmental Engg./ Environmental Science & Technology/ Structural Engg./ Town & Country Planning with valid GATE score in CE.
For M.Tech. Computer Science & IT/ Computer Science & Engineering: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Computer Hardware & Software/ Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Computer Engg. or Technology/ Computer Science & Engg. or Technology/ Computer Telecommunication with valid GATE score in CS.
For M.Tech. Control System Engineering: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Electrical & Electronics (Power System)/ Electrical & Electronics Engg./ Electrical & Power Engg./ Electrical Engg. (Electrical & Power)/ Electrical Engg. (Electronics & Power)/ Electrical Engg./ Electronics & Power/ Electrochemical Engg./ Power Engg./ Power Electronics with valid GATE score in EE.
For M.Tech. Electronics Engineering: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Process Electronics/ Electronics & Communication Engg. or Technology/ Electronics & Power Engg./ Electronics & Instrumentation Engg./ Electronics & Telecommunication Engg./ Electronics & Telecommunication Engg. (Technologynician Electronic Radio)/ Electronics Design Technology/ Electronics Product Design Technology/ Electronics Engg. or Technology/ Industrial Electronics/ Power Electronics with valid GATE score in EC.
For M.Tech. Heat Power Engineering: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Automotive Design/ Automobile Engg./ Machine Tool Engg./ Manufacturing Engg./ Mechanical & Automation Engg./ Mechanical & Energy/ Mechanical Automation Engg./ Mechanical Engg./ Mechanical Engg. (Sandwich) with valid GATE score in ME.
For M.Tech. Power System Engineering: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Electrical & Electronics Engg./ Electrical & Power Engg./ Electrical Engg. (Electrical & Power)/ Electrical Engg. (Electronics & Power)/ Electrical Engg./ Electronics & Power/ Electrochemical Engg./ Power Engg./ Power Electronics with valid GATE score in EE.
For M.Tech. Design Engineering: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Machine Tool Engg./ Manufacturing Engg./ Mechanical & Automation Engg./ Mechanical & Energy/ Mechanical Automation Engg./ Mechanical Engg./ Mechanical Engg. (Sandwich) with valid GATE score in ME.
For M.Tech. Production Engineering: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Industrial & Production Engg./ Industrial Engg./ Production Engg./ Production Engg. (Sandwich) with valid GATE score in PI.

The admission is based on the score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted jointly by the IISc and all the IITs.
For Maharashtra State Seats [Non-Sponsored & Sponsored seats]: the GATE qualified & eligible candidates are required to fill up & submit Online Application form on the Website (www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in) & participate in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE, Maharashtra (For details visit www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in).

Two Academic years comprising of 4 Semesters.

First Year of Diploma in Engineering & Technology:
For Maharashtra State Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and Passed SSC or its equivalent exam from recognized Institution with at least 35% aggregate marks. The candidates who have passed Maths/ Mathematics (code 71 for Maharashtra State Board) and Science & Technology (code 72 for Maharashtra State Board) are only eligible for admission.
For J&K Migrant Candidates/ Govt. of India Nominee Candidates: Same as for M.S. Candidates.
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
For M.S. Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and Passed HSC Science or HSC Science with Technical or HSC Science with Vocational exam of MSBSHSE or its equivalent exam or SSC with 2 Years ITI with appropriate specialization from a recognized Institution in Maharashtra State or its equivalent. These candidates should have passed SSC (10th Standard) exam of MSBSHSE with subjects English, Maths/ Mathematics (code 71) and Science & Technology (code 72).
