Location of Rang Sagar Lake:

This small Lake is a part of the Pichhola Lake and is located along the Western water-front of the Udaipur City, District Udaipur, Rajasthan.

History of the Lake:

It was constructed in 1668 A.D. by Amar Singh Badawa and is also known as ‘Amarkund’ after him.

Architecture of the Lake:

This lake has a length of 1030 meters and a width of 245 meters, while its maximum depth is 7 meters. It has a water spread area of 0.136 Sq. Km. only. It joins Pichhola Lake and Swaroop Sagar Lake in the South to Fateh Sagar Lake in the North.

The portion of water body between Rang Sagar Lake and Pichhola Lake is known as Kumharia Talav.
