Location of Crystal Gallery:
This World famous Crystal Gallery is located inside Fateh Prakash Palace which is located on the Eastern banks of Lake Pichhola inside City Palace Complex in Udaipur City, District Udaipur, Rajasthan.
Attractions of Crystal Gallery:
It is spread across the upper Gallery of the glittering Darbar hall and is famous for being the single largest private collection of crystals anywhere in the World. These crystals were collected from the Birmingham based F & C Osler company in the year 1877 A.D. by Maharana Sajjan Singh (the ruler of Udaipur from 1874-1884 A.D.). The collection comprises of a number of objects of art, dinner sets, perfume bottles, decanters, glasses, washing bowls, chairs, dressing tables, sofas, tables and fountains. It also houses the only crystal bed in the World. The Crest of Mewar has been delicately etched on the crystal.
Visiting Hours in the Gallery:
It remains open on all days from 9.00 A.M. to 7.00 P.M. An entry fee of Rs. 500 per adult and Rs. 300 per child (aged between 8 to 12 years) is charged. The photography is strictly prohibited in the Gallery.
