This important town is located at a distance of 34 Km from Rajsamand City and 15 Km from town Khamnor in the Aravalli ranges, parallel to the Jarga range of mountains in District Rajsamand, Rajasthan.

History:

At this place Maharana Pratap and his son Amar Singh had stayed for some time. Maharana Amar Singh was born at this place.

The place has been named Machind after Guru Matsyendra Nath of Nath community who had meditated here in a cave.

Architecture:

The place has remains of a construction of the Maharana Pratap’s period and an old step well.
