It was built in 1933 A.D. by Maharaja Ummaid Singh of Jodhpur as hunting lodge on the banks of Sardar Samand Lake which was created in 1905 A.D. when Sardar Samand Dam was constructed in Tehsil Sojat of District Pali.
Architecture of the Palace:
The palace is adorned with art deco designs, exquisite murals, miniature paintings which are excellent examples of the royal times of the past. It is surrounded by lush green lawns and well maintained gardens. The Lake is visited by Chinkaras, Neelgai, Black Bucks, local birds and a variety of migratory birds.
