This Village is located at a distance of 70 Km from Jalore City and 40 Km from town Bhinmal in a most green valley of Aravalli ranges of mountains in Jalore District, Rajasthan.
History of Lohangarh of Jaswantpura:
Earlier the place had a Village named Lohiyana ruled by Rana Salji Dewal who had built a fort here. But due to bad economic conditions, the King became a dacoit and he started looting Marwar area. In the year 1883 A.D., Maharaja Jaswant Singh of Jodhpur attacked this area and destroyed it completely along with the Fort. Hence the name of the Village was changed to Jaswantpura. The Maharaja built a rest house in the mountains to be used as a Summer resort which is now the private property of the present Maharaja of Jodhpur.
