An ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is located on the banks of this meeting point. The Temple remains submerged in water during rainy season. The water of this confluence is considered holy by the people who visit here to take a dip on the occasion of the Purnima (the full moon day), Amavas (the new moon day) in the months of Kartik (October/November) and Magh (January/February). A huge fair is organised here during the Shivratri Festival.
