History:
It was the place of penance of Mandav Rishi. This place also finds mention in the great Epic Mahabharata as the place where Arjuna shot an arrow into the ground and a spring of Ban-Ganga came out.

It is famous for a group of ancient Temples and hot and cold water springs known for their healing properties.
