Passed 10+2 exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject. Obtained at least 75% marks in the 12th class exam, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class/ qualifying exam conducted by the respective Boards. The SC/ ST applicants are given a relaxation of 5% of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.

The admission is based on the merit/ rank in the JEE (Main) Paper 1 conducted by National Testing Agency (For details visit www.nta.ac.in or https://jeemain.nta.nic.in). The qualified candidates are required to register & fill the Application form On-line only. The Counselling for admission is conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA)/ Central Seat Allocation Board (For details visit https://josaa.nic.in AND https://csab.nic.in).

For M.Tech. Thermal & Fluids Engineering: B.E./ B.Tech. in Mechanical Engg. with valid GATE score in ME.
Note: The General or Open category (GN/OC/OP)/ Other Backward Classes (OB/OBC) applicants should have scored 7.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale or 70% marks in the qualifying exam, the SC/ ST/ (PD/PH/PWD) applicants should have scored 7.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale or 65% marks in the qualifying exam.

The admission is based on the score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted jointly by the IISc and all the IITs. The candidates with valid GATE score are required to participate in the CCMT (Centralized Counselling for M.Tech./ M.Arch./ M.Plan. Admissions) conducted by one of the NIT’s as authorized by the NIT Council (For details visit https://ccmt.nic.in).

Two Academic years comprising of 4 Semesters.

Master Degree in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent in an appropriate area with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or equivalent 60% marks OR a Master’s Degree by Research (MS by Research) in Engineering/ Technology disciplines, with a good academic record, OR Bachelor Degree in Engineering/ Technology with excellent academic record with a CGPA of at least 9.0 or equivalent 85% marks and valid GATE score.

The National Institute of Technology Manipur invites applications for admission in the months of January and June/July. 70% weightage is given to the overall academic performance & 30% weightage is given to the Entrance Test/Interview conducted by the respective Departments (For details visit www.nitmanipur.ac.in).

For M.Sc. Mathematics: B.Sc. (10+2+3)/ BS degree (Major/Honours) in Mathematics with 55% marks or 6.0 CPI on a 10-point scale (50% marks or 5.5 CPI on a 10- point scale for SC/ST/PD applicants) in major/honours only. OR Candidates having B.Sc. (10+2+3) degree without (Major/Honours) in Mathematics, must have the concerned degree with (a) Mathematics as a subject for two years/four semesters and (b) 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CPI on a 10-point scale for General/OBC applicants (50% marks or 5.5 CPI on a 10-point scale for SC/ST/PD applicants).
For M.Sc. Chemistry: B.Sc. (10+2+3)/BS degree (Major/Honours) in Chemistry with Mathematics and Physics for at least two years/four semesters, with 55% marks or 6.0 CPI on a 10- point scale (50% marks or 5.5 CPI on a 10-point scale for SC/ST/PD applicants) in major/honours only. OR Candidates having B.Sc.(10+2+3)/BS degree without (Major/Honours) in Chemistry with Mathematics and Physics for at least two years/four semesters, must have the concerned degree with (a) Chemistry as a subject for three years/six semesters and Mathematics and Physics for at least two years/four semesters and (b) 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CPI on a 10-point scale for General/OBC applicants (50% marks or 5.5 CPI on a 10-point scale for SC/ST/PD applicants).
For M.Sc. Physics: B.Sc. (10+2+3)/BS degree (Major/Honours) in Physics with Mathematics for at least two years/four semesters, with 55% marks or 6.0 CPI on a 10-point scale (50% marks or 5.5 CPI on a 10-point scale for SC/ST/PD applicants) in major/honours only. OR Candidates having B.Sc.(10+2+3)/BS degree without (Major/Honours) in Physics with Mathematics for at least two years/four semesters, must have the concerned degree with (a) Physics as a subject for at least two years/four semesters and Mathematics for at least one year/two semesters and (b) 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CPI on a 10-point scale for General/OBC applicants (50% marks or 5.5 CPI on a 10-point scale for SC/ST/PD applicants).

The admission is based on the score in the Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) conducted jointly by the IITs. The candidates with valid JAM score are required to participate in the CCMN (Centralized Counselling for M.Sc./ M.Sc. (Tech.) Admission) conducted by one of the NITs’ as authorized by the NIT Council (For details visit https://ccmn.admissions.nic.in).
