Eligibility
  • First Year of Engineering & Technology:
    The candidate must be an Indian National. The NRI’s holding Indian passport may also apply for seats reserved under NRI category. The Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) /Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders are considered eligible for admissions to seats under NRI Category only. The Foreign Nationals must apply to Govt. of India.
    Passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XIIth) examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects – Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology, and secured not less than 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC category candidates, 45% marks for Kashmiri migrants) in the aggregate of subjects of Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects – Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology.
  • Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
    The candidate must be an Indian National. The candidate must have passed from Polytechnics or Colleges in the State of Goa, or as a Goa State nominee, under GOI seats or reciprocal arrangement, if passed Diploma from other States.
    Passed Diploma in Engineering examination conducted by the Goa Board of Technical Education or an equivalent examination, conducted by a recognized Board of Technical Education in India or abroad in the relevant branch of Engineering with 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC category candidates) in aggregate (final two semesters excluding training marks). OR
    Passed B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics as a subject at Std. XIIth and with 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC category candidates) in aggregate (Final Year) from Goa University. The B.Sc. Degree holders are required to pass in the subjects of Engineering Graphics/Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of First Year of Engineering Programme along with Second Year subjects.
    These candidates are also eligible for admission to First Year of Engineering Degree Courses subject to vacancies in First Year, after vacancies at Lateral Entry are exhausted.
Admission Procedure
  • First Year of Engineering & Technology:
    The admission is based on the score in the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa (For details visit www.dtegoa.gov.in/).
  • Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
    The admission is based on the marks secured in the Qualifying examination. The Counselling for admission is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa (For details visit www.dtegoa.gov.in/).
Duration
Four Academic years comprising of 8 Semesters, Three Academic years comprising of 6 Semesters for lateral entry candidates.
Fee Structure of Don Bosco College of Engineering
The State Level Fee Structure Committee has fixed the fee structure for various courses offered by Don Bosco College of Engineering. A brief detail (as fixed for the year 2015-2016) is as follows:
  • For B.E. course – The Tuition fee is Rs. 38,000/- per semester for 1st year, Rs. 41,000/- per semester for 2nd year, Rs. 44,000/- per semester for 3rd year & Rs. 47,000/- per semester for 4th year. In addition to above, the students have to pay Rs. 5,000/- as Development fees (Per semester) & Rs. 1,450/- as Institutional fees per annum.
  • The fee to be paid by the students admitted through LEET is the same as applicable to their counterpart students admitted in the four year B.E. Program.
