First Year of Engineering & Technology:
Passed 10+2 exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject. Obtained at least 45% marks in each of the subjects.
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
For M.S. Candidates/ All India Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and should have Passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology with 45% marks in appropriate Branch of Engineering & Technology from an AICTE or Central or State Govt. approved Institution. OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC or AIU recognized University with 45% marks and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject, provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engg. Graphics/ Engg. Drawing & Engg. Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects.
Note: The BC/ PwD applicants, belonging to Maharashtra State only, are given a relaxation of 5% of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.

First Year of Engineering & Technology:
The admission is based on the merit/ rank in the JEE (Main) Paper 1 conducted by National Testing Agency (For details visit www.nta.ac.in or https://jeemain.nta.nic.in). The qualified candidates are required to register & fill the Application form On-line only. The Counselling for admission is conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA)/ Central Seat Allocation Board (For details visit https://josaa.nic.in AND https://csab.nic.in).
Note: The admissions of Foreign Nationals/ Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/ Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) under Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) is based on the score in the SAT (For details visit www.dasanit.org).
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
All the eligible candidates are required to apply to the Competent Authority for admission through CAP conducted by DTE, Maharashtra. The admission is based on the marks secured in the qualifying exam (For details visit www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in).

Four Academic years comprising of 8 Semesters, Three Academic years comprising of 6 Semesters for lateral entry candidates.

For Non-Sponsored Candidates: Passed B.E./ B.Tech. Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engg./ Electrical Engg./ Telecommunication Engg./ Computers Engg./ Information Technology/ Instrumentation Engg. from a recognized University with 55% of marks (50% marks for SC/ ST applicants) with valid GATE score.
For Sponsored Candidates: The candidate should have been serving in Academic Institution/ Industry/ R&D organization engaged in Electronic Product or System Development for at least two years (after completion of B.E./ B.Tech.) and should be sponsored by the employer. He should produce necessary Sponsorship Certificate along with application in the prescribed form.

The admission is based on the score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted jointly by the IISc and all the IITs.
The GATE qualified & eligible candidates are required to fill up & submit Online Application form on the Website (www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in) & participate in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE, Maharashtra (For details visit www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in).

Two Academic years comprising of 4 Semesters.

The Part time course is only for Working Professionals or for Professionals with at least 2 years of work experience. His/ Her working place should be within 60 Km distance from the Institute.
Passed B.E./ B.Tech. Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engg./ Electrical Engg./ Telecommunication Engg./ Computers Engg./ Information Technology/ Instrumentation Engg. from a recognized University with 55% of marks (50% marks for SC/ST applicants). The candidate should have minimum of two years full time work experience in a Registered firm/ Company/ Industry/ Educational and /or Research Institute/ any Government Department/ Government, Autonomous Organizations in the relevant field in which admission is sought. A letter should be furnished by the employer stating that the candidate is being sponsored to seek admission in the respective course and allowed to attend lectures in the evening as per the Institute timetable. The employer should also indicate that the candidate will not be withdrawn midway till the completion of the course.

The NIELIT Aurangabad invites Applications for admission in the month of June/July every year. The candidates can download the Application form from the Institute’s Website & submit it along with necessary enclosures to NIELIT Aurangabad, Dr. B.A.M. University Campus, Aurangabad – 431004 (MS). The candidates are short listed based on the minimum eligibility criteria. The list of Shortlisted candidates is displayed on the Institute’s Website & they are not informed through Post The final selection for admission to M. Tech (EDT) Program, from the short listed candidates is based on the merit of B.Tech. marks and their performance in an Interview conducted by the Institute in the month of July /August.

Three Academic years comprising of 6 Semesters.

The Interested candidates, meeting the eligibility criteria set by the Dr. B.A.M. University, Aurangabad or any other University/Deemed University proposed by the candidate, are allowed to propose this Institute as Research Centre, subject to the Rules and Regulations of this Institute, laid down for this purpose. The candidate has to register with the proposed University/Deemed University and complete all the formalities, laid down by the said University from time to time (Fee, Progress Report, Synopsis, Thesis, etc.), in addition to fulfilling the requirements of this Institute.

A Separate Prospectus for Ph. D. Program is available in the Institute on payment of Rs. 700/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD applicants) throughout the year. For further details and/or for obtaining the Prospectus contact : Academic Co-ordinator, NIELIT Centre, Aurangabad (MS).

For Maharashtra State Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and Passed SSC or its equivalent exam from recognized Institution with at least 35% aggregate marks. The candidates who have passed Maths/ Mathematics (code 71 for Maharashtra State Board) and Science & Technology (code 72 for Maharashtra State Board) are only eligible for admission.
For J&K Migrant Candidates/ Govt. of India Nominee Candidates: Same as for M.S. Candidates.

All the eligible candidates are required to apply to the Competent Authority for admission through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE, Maharashtra (For details visit www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in).
The Maharashtra State Seats [Home District (HD) seats, Other than Home District (OHD) seats] & Supernumerary Seats under TFWS are filled through CAP on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying exam.
