The National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh was inaugurated on 18th August, 2010 as an ‘Institute of National Importance’ by the Govt. of India & is fully funded by the Govt. of India under the Ministry of HRD.
The National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh has State of the art Departmental Laboratories, five Hostels for boys and two for girls (with Transport facility & wi-fi connectivity), a Solar Plant of 100 KW capacity for uninterrupted power supply, Seminar & Conference Hall, Switch Room, A Server room having IBM Blade Server, 24 X 7 water supply, Computer Center, Central Library, Language Laboratory, Video Conferencing room, Cafeteria and Fair Price Shop.

Passed 10+2 exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject. Obtained at least 75% marks in the 12th class exam, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class/ qualifying exam conducted by the respective Boards. The SC/ ST applicants are given a relaxation of 5% of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.

M.E./ M.Tech. in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA on 10 point scale or 60% marks in aggregate (with Mathematics at 10+2 level) OR B.E./ B.Tech. in relevant discipline with at least 7.0 CGPA on 10 point scale or 65% marks in aggregate (with Mathematics at 10+2 level) OR M.Sc. in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA on 10 point scale or 60% marks in aggregate (with Mathematics at Graduation level) from a recognized Technical Institute or University.
