For M.Tech. Computer Science & Engineering: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent in an appropriate area OR M.Sc. in Computer Science/ IT OR MCA from a recognized Institution. The candidates with a valid GATE score are given preference.
For M.Tech. Electronics & Communication Engineering: Bachelor’s degree in Technology in Electronics Engg. OR M.Sc. (Electronics) OR AMIETE OR IETE graduates.
Admission Procedure in Faculty of Engineering and Technology RGU Arunachal Pradesh
The admission is based on the score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted jointly by the IISc and all the IITs. The seats remaining vacant, thereafter, are filled on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying exam. The admission is done at the University level for which applications are invited in the months of June/July (For details visit www.rgu.ac.in).

Ph. D. Programs:

55% marks in Master’s Degree in the concerned/ allied subjects from any recognized University/ Institution. 5% relaxation in marks is given to SC/ ST/ OBC (NCL) applicants.
Admission Procedure in Faculty of Engineering and Technology RGU Arunachal Pradesh
The admission is based on the score in Rajiv Gandhi University M.Phil. & Ph.D. Entrance Test (RGUMPET) conducted by the Examination Branch of the University. The candidates qualifying in the entrance test are required to appear in the Interview. The candidates having valid UGC/ CSIR-JRFship (before the Entrance Test) or candidates having M.Phil. from Rajiv Gandhi University or from any other UGC recognized University are exempted from written entrance test and they have to appear directly for the personal interview in the Department along with those who clear the entrance test. The candidates admitted as regular Ph.D. scholar are eligible for UGC (non-NET) Fellowship.
