Sr. Sec. School Certificate (10+2)/ Intermediate or its equivalent of a recognized Board of Education with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their main subjects, with not less than 55% marks in PCM OR Diploma in Engineering recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education of 3 or 4-year duration with not less than 55% marks. The age of the candidate should not be less than 17 years on 1st October of the year of admission.
Note: 30% seats are reserved for Muslim applicants, 10% seats are reserved for Women applicants who are Muslims, 10% seats are reserved for OBCs-NCL and ST category candidates who are Muslims (as per the list notified by the Central Govt.) & 5% seats are reserved for PD category candidates. 5% seats are filled by Internal students of JMI who have passed their qualifying examination (X or XII) from Jamia Schools as regular students. Four Academic years comprising of 8 Semesters.

Three/four year Diploma Course in respective or relevant branch from a recognized Polytechnic or Technical Institute with at least two years professional experience after passing Diploma in respective or relevant branch. However, for B.E. (Computer Engg.), three/four year Diploma either in Computer Engg. or in Electronics & Communication Engg. or in relevant branch is required together with at least two years Professional Experience after Diploma. The experience is reckoned from the date of declaration of result/date of issue of mark-sheet of qualifying examination or the date of beginning of professional engagement (whichever is later) till the last date of submission of Application Form. The Documentary evidence of declaration of result is required at the time of admission.
The Diploma holders from University Polytechnic, J.M.I securing 70% marks or more are eligible to appear in the Entrance Test without Professional Experience.

Four Academic years.

For M.Tech. Environmental Science & Engineering: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engg./ Mechanical Engg./ Chemical Engg./ Electrical Engg./ Metallurgical Engg./ Mining Engg./ Agricultural Engg. or any other equivalent and relevant Degrees in Engg. and Technology only with not less than 60% marks in absolute system or equivalent grades of 6.75 on a 10 point scale.
For Part-Time Program: The in-service Graduate Engineers working in the field of Environmental Engg. are eligible. These candidates are required to produce at the time of admission, as the case may be, either NOC from the current employer or the proof of being self employed/entrepreneur.
For M.Tech. Electrical Power System & Management: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engg. with not less than 60% marks in an absolute system or a minimum grade of 6.75 on a 10 point scale.
For M.Tech. Control & Instrumentation System: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engg./ Instrumentation & Control Engg./ Electronics & Communication Engg. with not less than 60% marks in an absolute system or a minimum grade of 6.75 on a 10 point scale.
For M.Tech. Mechanical Engineering: First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engg./ Production Engg./ Automobile Engg./ Manufacturing & Automation Engg.
For M.Tech. Electronics & Communication Engineering: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engg./ Electronics & Communication Engg./ Electronics & Instrumentation Engg. or equivalent examination with not less than 60% marks in an absolute system or a minimum grade of 6.75 on a 10 point scale.

For M.Tech. Earthquake Engineering: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engg. with not less than 60% marks in an absolute system or a minimum grade of 6.75 on a 10 point scale.
For M.Tech. Energy Sciences: B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical Engg./ Electronics Engg./ Electrical Engg./ Chemical Engg./ Petrochemical Engg./ Materials Science/ Nanoscience/ Nanotechnology/ Energy Studies/ Energy Science/ Energy Technology OR M.Sc.in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Electronics/ Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry/ Nanoscience/ Material Science/ Energy Studies/ Energy Tech with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
For M.Tech. Two Academic years comprising of 4 Semesters for Full-Time Course, Three Academic years comprising of 6 Semesters for Part-Time Course.

A Second Class Master’s Degree with not less than 55% marks from a recognized University in the subject in which the candidate wishes to pursue a course of research or in a subject allied thereto.
The candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR NET/JRF examination or any other equivalent examination conducted by the recognized Government Department/ Institute/ Agency/ SLET/ valid GATE Score (with qualifying marks)/ DST – Inspire Fellows. OR The teacher fellowship holders of the recognized College/ University/ Institution, provided that the competent employing authority issues a NOC to the candidate to join Ph.D. Programme OR ICCR-Sponsored candidates.
The Central/ State government/ PSU employee(s) should apply thorough proper channel and should produce NOC at the time of Interview.

Secondary School/ High School Certificate of a recognized Board with not less than 45% marks in Science and Maths, or PCM as the case may be (Other than Bioscience) OR Senior Secondary School Certificate/ Intermediate or an equivalent exam. from a recognized Board with not less than 40% marks in aggregate of Science and Maths or PCM as the case may be (other than Bioscience) OR Equivalent Certificate Course from an Institute recognized by State/ Central Govt. or Sr. Sec. School Certificate in Vocational Engg. with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
The age of the candidate should not be less than 15 years on 1st October of the year of admission. The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination with Elementary Mathematics & Elementary Science are not eligible for admission.

Instrumentation/ Electronics OR B.Sc. (Pass)/ B. Vocational Solar Energy Degree with Physics, Maths as optional subjects with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in qualifying examination.
