This Temple is situated at a distance of 15 Km from Udaipur Railway Station at Sisarma, District Udaipur, Rajasthan.

History of Temple Shri Baijnath Ji Mahadev:

This Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is said that Maharana Sangram Singh of Mewar had no issue. He prayed to Lord Shiva to bless him with a son and at the age of 60 years he got a son with the blessings of the deity. So he built this huge Temple in 1774 A.D.

Architecture of Temple Shri Baijnath Ji Mahadev:

The Temple is built of white marble, lime and stone. The Sanctum Sanctorum has the black sand stone idol of Shiva Lingam having one meter of circumference and height of one foot six inches. The people here largely believe that this Shiva Lingam was installed by Lord Rama himself. The idols of Mahadeva Parvati, Lord Ganesha, Lord Kartikeya and Nandi are also installed inside the Shrine. The Sabha Mandap (the prayer hall) has 18′ high statue of Nandi, while still another black stone statue of Nandi is present adjacent to this Temple. A beautiful step well is located to the right of the main gate.

The Temple remains open on all days from 5.00 A.M. to 8.00 P.M.
