This ancient Temple is situated at a distance of 70 Km from Newai Railway Station in town Diggi of Tehsil Malpura, District Tonk, Rajasthan.
History of Temple Shri Kalyan Ji Tonk:
This Temple is dedicated to Shri Kalyan Ji believed to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
It is said that about 5600 years ago, an Apsara (a celestial nymph) of the court of King Indra had to spend 12 years on the earth due to a curse. On the earth, the King Digva offended her and the Apsara cursed him to become a leper. Then King Digva meditated to be free from the curse. One day the Lord was pleased and the King heard a voice from the heavens that his stone idol would appear at the seashore and the King should install the idol to be free from Leprosy. Thus, King Digva brought the idol from the seashore and built this Temple to install it.
Architecture of Temple Shri Kalyan Ji Tonk:
The Temple is built of lime and stone. It has a magnificent pinnacle adorned with carvings of statuettes. The pinnacle is supported by 16 pillars. The Sanctum Sanctorum, circumbulatory path and the prayer hall are beautifully built and are a fine example of the architecture in marble. The four armed idol of Kalyan Ji is very attractive and is made of white marble. The devotees believe that one can get rid of diseases like leprosy, infertility and blindness and all kinds of miseries by paying homage here.

The Temple remains open on all days from 4.30 A.M. to 9.00 P.M. The Temple Complex has 14 other Temples dedicated to different deities and a Dharmshala.
