Location of Shri Virvada Tirath:

This ancient Temple is situated at a distance of 4 Km from Village Bamanwada and 10 Km from Sirohi City in a forest amidst hills outside Village Virvada (earlier known as Virpalli) in District Sirohi, Rajasthan.

History of the Temple:

It is dedicated to Lord Mahavir Ji, the 24th Tirthankar of Jains.

This Temple is said to be more than 800 years old. An inscription on one the pillars of the Temple mentions that it was renovated in 1353 A.D. Many inscriptions here indicate that Virvada was once a prosperous City.

Architecture of the Temple:

The 90 cm high idol of Lord Mahavir Ji is white coloured and is seated in Padmasana. The sculpture of the idol proves its antiquity. The Temple is also white in colour and has a Dharamshala and a Bhojanshala facilities for visiting devotees. The Temple of Lord Vimalnath, the 13th Tirthankar of Jains and Lord Sambhavnath, 3rd Tirthankar of Jains is also located here.
