Location of the Temple:

This ancient Temple is situated at a distance of 32 Km South of Sirohi City and 4 Km from Abu down-hills on horse-shoe center point of Abu hill in District Sirohi, Rajasthan.

History & Architecture of the Temple:

This Temple is dedicated to Lord Sun who possesses millions of rays (Karoridhwaj or Kotidhwaj).

It is believed that the Temple was built by the Huns (Central Asian nomads who invaded India in the later part of the 5th Century A.D., captured almost entire Northern India and also resulted in disintegration of Gupta dynasty in about 470 A.D.) who were the devotees of Lord Sun.

The Temple also has beautiful idols of Mahishasur Mardini (Goddess Durga), Sheshai Vishnu, Kuber and Ganpati (Lord Ganesha). The surroundings of the Temple have immense natural beauty.
