Location of Temple Shri Roop Narayan Ji:
This ancient Temple is situated at a distance of 5 Km from town Charbhuja and 40 Km from Rajsamand City in Village Seventri, District Rajsamand, Rajasthan.
History of the Temple:
This Temple is dedicated to Shri Chaturbhuj Nath Ji. It was built in the year 1653 A.D. by Shri Jagat Singh Chudawat, the nephew of Meera Bai, the great devotee to Lord Krishna.
Architecture of the Temple:
The Temple is built in the South Indian style of Temple architecture. At the entrance, two huge elephants of stone are located on either side. Its Shikhars are full of pictographs and statuettes. The Sanctum Sanctorum has the four-armed black stone idol of Lord Vishnu holding conch, discus, mace and a Lotus flower. To the right of the deity is the idol of Lakshmi Ji and to the left side is the idol of Bhudevi. The statue of Garudji (Lord’s carrier) facing the deity is installed outside.
Visiting Hours in the Temple:
The Temple remains open on all days from 5.00 A.M. to 10.00 P.M. It is surrounded by immense natural beauty of lush green hills, water hills, valleys and a fount from which Gomati river emerges.
