Location of the Temple:
This Temple is also known as Temple Shri Srinath Ji. It is situated at a distance of 7 Km from Nathdwara Railway station in town Nathdwara, District Rajsamand, Rajasthan.
History of the Temple:
This Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. It was built in the year 1672 A.D. by Talakayat Shri Damodar Ji. The Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb followed the policy of destroying all the Hindu Temples. So the idol of Lord Krishna was brought from Goverdhan (near Mathura in Uttar Pradesh State) and was installed here by constructing a Temple.

The Temple has been built in the typical Haveli style of architecture.

The Temple remains open on all days from 5.30 A.M. to 11.30 A.M. and 3.15 P.M. to 5.15 P.M. during Summers. It remains open from 4.45 A.M. to 11.30 A.M. and 3.30 P.M. to 7.00 P.M. during Winters. The entire town of Nathdwara has Dharmshalas (inns) for the pilgrims.
