Location of the Temple:
This Temple is situated at a distance of 3 Km from Kankroli Railway Station on the banks of Rajasamand Dam on the top of a hill in District Rajsamand, Rajasthan.
History of the Temple:
This Temple is dedicated to Lord Shri Dwarkadheesh Ji.
It was built in 1719 A.D. by Goswami Shri Girdhariji Maharaj. During the Mughal period, the Hindu Temples were destroyed and the idols of the deities were looted. This idol of Lord Shri Dwarkadheesh Ji was originally installed at Gokul. For the fear of destruction Goswami Shri Girdhariji Maharaj took the idol and fled to Gujarat, but finally he reached at this place and the Temple was built for its installation.
Architecture of the Temple:
The Temple has been built in the Haveli style of architecture and marble, building stone, bricks and mortar have been used in its construction.
Visiting Hours in the Temple:
The Temple remains open on all days from 7.00 A.M. to 11.00 A.M. and 4.00 P.M. to 7.00 P.M.
