It is said that the Pandavas (in Mahabharata period) with their Mother Mata Kunti had stayed here during the period of exile. Mata Kunti used to meditate Lord Shiva here. The Pandavas established Navdurga at this place. The Fairs are organised here on the eve of Shivratri and Baisakhi Poornima.
