This ancient Temple is situated at a distance of 1 Km from Merta City Railway Station at town Merta, District Nagaur, Rajasthan.

History of Shri Merta Jain Tirath:

It is dedicated to Lord Parshavnath, the 23rd Tirthankar of Jains.

It is said that Lord Parshavnath Ji gave indications about this place to Shri Dhandhal Shreshthi. He dug at the spot and the miraculous idol of Lord Parshavnath Ji with seven fangs was recovered from here. He built the Temple to install the idol in the 12th Century A.D. It is believed that the visit at this Tirtha yields to the devotee, the reward of visit in 68 Tirthas.

Architecture of the Temple:

The idol of the deity is made of sand and earth, is black in color, 105 cm. in height and is seated in Padmasana posture.
