History of the Temple:

This ancient Temple is also known as Gothmanglod Temple. It is dedicated to Mata Dadhimati Ji, the Kuldevi of Dadhich Brahmins.

It was built in the 4th Century A.D. during the Gupta dynasty. Mata Dadhimati Ji is believed to be an incarnation of Goddess Laxmi and was the sister of Dadhichi Ji (a Great Sage who gave away his life so that the Devatas could use his bones to make weapons to kill the demons and protect the Universe).
