This Temple is situated in Karauli City, District Karauli, Rajasthan.
History of Shri Madan Mohan Ji Temple:
This Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. It was built in 1600 A.D. by King Shri Gopal Singh Ji, the then ruler of Karauli. It is believed that he got victory in the battle of Daultabad and was instructed by Lord Krishna in his dream to bring his idol from Amer and install it in Karauli. The King followed the instruction and got the Temple built to install the idol of Lord Krishna.
Architecture of Shri Madan Mohan Ji Temple:
The Temple is made of lime mortar and Karauli stone. It is a masterpiece of medieval architecture. The idols of Lord Krishna and Shri Radha are made of precious Ashtadhatu and are 3 feet and 2 feet in height respectively. Both the idols are antique pieces and are the finest example of sculpture.
Visiting Hours in the Temple:
The Temple remains open on all days from 5.00 A.M. to 10.00 P.M.
