Location of the Temples:

This beautiful group of ancient Temples is situated at a distance of 7 Km from Jhalawar City on the banks of Holy Chandrabhaga river in town Jhalara Patan, District Jhalawar, Rajasthan.

History & Architecture of the Temples:

The magnificent Chandrabhaga river rises from a spring and on the banks of this river stand some splendid 7th Century built Temples. The intricately carved pillars and arched gateways of these Temples are the fine examples of the temple architecture and craftsmanship. The most famous of these Temples are the Sitalesvara Mahadev Temple, Kalikadevi Temple and Varaha Avatar Temple.

The Chandrabhaga Fair is held here every year in the month of Kartik (October-November). The river Chandrabhaga is considered holy by the people residing in this part of Rajasthan. The fair attracts large number of devotees who bathe in the holy waters of the river.
