Location of Sire Temple:

This Temple is situated on Kalashachal mountain about 646 meters above sea level at a distance of 3 Km West of Jalore City, District Jalore, Rajasthan.

History & Architecture of Sire Temple:

At this place Great Sage Maharishi Jabali used to meditate and many Saints came and meditated here. The Pandavas during Mahabharata period spent some time here. Yogi Suanath and his disciples also made it their home. It is also the sacred groove of Dev Nath, Bhawani Nath, Bhairunath, Phoolnath, Kesarnath and Bholenath. It is said that Maharaja Man Singh of Jodhpur had prayed here to get his Kingdom back.

The footstep’s imprints of Yogiraj Jalandhar Nath Ji (a Great Yogi) are found while climbing the mountain. A Temple and a big water hut are situated here. While climbing the mountain, in between there is a Temple of Lord Hanuman and Lord Ganesha.

A Temple known as Ratneshwar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is also situated here. It was built by Raja Ratan Singh and has an idol of Shiva lingam installed in one rounded Cave. One big Elephant made of cement and stone is located in front of this Temple.

The place also has one Jhalara, a big Mansarovar, non-stop ‘Dhunna’, a dining hall, the Palace of Raja Mansingh, two beautiful gardens and resting place at different locations.
