This ancient Temple is situated at a distance of 23 Km from Jalore City and 35 Km North of town Bhinmal in Village Ramsin, District Jalore, Rajasthan.
History of Aapeshwar Mahadev Temple:
This Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is situated on the banks of a river flowing from the Vitan Dam towards Village Sikwara.
It is said that a farmer was ploughing his fields and his bullock stopped at a certain place. He tried hard, but it did not move further. He dug up the soil to find out the reason and he recovered an idol of Lord Shiva made of marble. But the finger of the idol had got cut due to the digging and blood was oozing out of it. The farmer felt sorrow. Then he heard a voice from the heavens that you, your family and other members of your cast should leave the Village to escape from failure and sorrow. Then he heard another voice from heavens instructing him to place the idol in a cart and the place where the cart stops, get build my Temple by the Villagers. Hence, this ancient Temple was built to install the idol.
