The entire area of these sand dunes have some shrubs and bushes unlike the Sam sand dunes which are completely barren. The major attractions of the place are a ride on the Camel – the ship of desert in the desert sea and the performances by beautiful folk dancers and singers. The immense natural beauty of the area has made these sand dunes, one of the most popular places of tourist interest in District Jaisalmer of Rajasthan. The best time to visit the place is from the month of October to February and that too during sunrise or sunset, while some Camel safaris spend a night here providing an opportunity to sleep out in the open facing the twinkling star-studded sky.
