This Park is located on the Jaisalmer-Barmer Road at a distance of 17 Km from Jaisalmer City, District Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

It is spread over an area of 21 hectares and has huge fossilized tree trunks of 180 million years old forest and ancient sea shells. The largest fossilized wood log measures 7 m. in length and 1.5 m. in width. It is said that this area was once a fertile land dotted with innumerable non-flowering trees, but it got immersed into the Ocean and the tree trunks got preserved in the form of fossils. This area is now managed by the archaeological Department which is solely responsible for carrying out excavation activities for bringing out more mysteries of the ancient times.
Apart from tourists, it attracts Geologists and Conservationists from around the Globe. An entry fee of Rs. 50 from foreign tourists is charged, while the Indian Citizens are required to pay Rs. 5 plus Rs. 10 for a vehicle.
