Location of The Ruins Temples Baroda:

The Village of Baroda is located at a distance of 41 Km from Dungarpur City in Tehsil Aspur, District Dungarpur, Rajasthan.

History & Architecture of the Temples:

This Village is famous for the ruins of the Temples built in old Rajput architecture. In the earlier times, the Shaivism (the followers of Lord Shiva) and Jainism were the main religions of this area. A very beautiful and old Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is located near the tank in this Village. It is made of white stones. Near the temple is a ‘kundli’ bearing an inscription of 1292 A.D. of the times of Maharaja Veer Singh Dev. An old Jain Temple is situated in the heart of this Village. The main idol in the Temple is that of Lord Parshavnath (the 23rd Tirthankar of Jains) which was identified in 1847 A.D. by Bhattarak Devendra Suri.
