Location of the Temple:

This ancient Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located at a distance of 19 Km from Bari town at a place known as ‘Sone Ka Gurja’, District Dholpur, Rajasthan.

History & Architecture of the Temple:

This Temple was built during the reign of Emperor Ashoka in 300 B.C. Its dome has been beautifully decorated with artistic carvings.

A small Fortress named ‘Devhansi Garhi’ is located nearby. It was built by Subedar (Governor) Devhans and was used by freedom fighters to take positions against the British soldiers during the First War of India’s Independence in 1857.
