This Tower is also known as Nihal Tower and is located on Town hall road in Dholpur City, District Dholpur, Rajasthan.
History:
It was got built in 1910 A.D. by Raja Nihal Singh of Dholpur.
Architecture:
Its design is a fine blend of Indo-Muslim architecture. It was built by M/S Jille and Johnsons Koydone Company of England. This 150 feet high tower is built of Dholpur red sandstone. The lowest floor is 120 feet in circumference and has 12 arched doors. It has 125 stairs to reach the top. A beautiful chhattri supported by eight pillars is located on the top floor. A Ghanta (a bell made of metal) weighing 600 Kg and 25 feet in circumference is hanging here. The hammer which was used to strike the Ghanta is 5 Kg in weight. Its voice can be heard for several Kilometers.
