History of Salasar Bala Ji Temple:

This Temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman Ji. Shri Mohan Das Ji (Salim Singh Thakur of Village Julias) was a great devotee of Lord Hanuman Ji, the famous Hindu deity of vigour and loyality. He practiced great penance and asceticism at the place where now the Temple is situated. It is said that Lord Hanuman Ji appeared before Mohan Das Ji in his dreams in an unusual form. Lord Hanuman Ji had moustache and beard.

Also Shri Hanuman Ji having been pleased by the devotion and worship of Shri Mohan Das Ji, appeared in the form of an idol on Saturday, Shrawan Shukla Navami (the 9th day of the bright half of Shrawan) in 1754 A.D. at Village Asota. Mohan Das Ji had got the knowledge about the existence of the idol in his dreams. So he brought the idol from Village Asota to Salasar and built the Temple to install the idol. The idol of Shri Hanuman Ji is different from all other idols of Shri Hanuman Ji. Here the idol of Shri Hanuman Ji has rounded face with moustache and beard.
