Location of the Temple:

This ancient Temple is also known as Sammidheshwar Temple and is situated inside Chittorgarh Fort in Chottorgarh City, District Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.

History of the Temple:

This Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was built in the 7th Century A.D.

Architecture of the Temple:

This is an exquisitely carved Temple built in marble. Its beautiful shikharas rise up to the Kalash. Its outer high walls are finely carved with sculptures of Gods, Goddesses and dancing girls. The interior is well lit with strong walls and a high rising roof. The Sanctum Sanctorum has the idol of Lord Shiva in the form which represents the attainment of Laghima Siddhi (Laghima is the perfection achieved when a person controls his senses and has reached a spiritual state where he can levitate) and Adbhuta (a rasa of wonder and astonishment experienced when one attains the Laghima Siddhi).
