Location of Temple Shri Laleshwar Mahadev Ji:
This Temple is also known as Shiv Badi Temple and is situated at a distance of 5 Km from Bikaner Railway Station, District Bikaner, Rajasthan.
History of the Temple:
This Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was built in 1880 A.D. by Narendra Maharaja Rao Dungar Singh (1872-1887 A.D.), the ruler of Bikaner in the memory of his father Lal Singh and named it as Shri Laleshwar Mahadev Ji.
Architecture of the Temple:
The Temple looks like a Fortress with very high and strong ramparts. The four gates of the Temple are made of marble, while the entrance gate is built of red stone and is finely ornamented. The ceiling of the Temple has beautiful pictures in different colours. The black stone Shiva Lingam having five faces is installed in the Sanctum Sanctorum. The idols of Mata Parvati Ji, Lord Ganesha Ji, Kartikeya Ji and Nandi Ji are also installed here. The idols of Shiva family are made of stone, while the idol of Nandi Ji is made of seven metals.
Visiting Hours in the Temple:
The Temple remains open on all days from 5.00 A.M. to 12.00 A.M. and 5.00 P.M. to 9.00 P.M.
