Location of Temple Shri Jambho Ji:
This Temple is situated at a distance of 15 Km from Nokha Railway Station in town Samrathal, District Bikaner, Rajasthan.
History of the Temple:
This Temple is dedicated to Shri Jambho Ji. It was built in the year 1543 A.D.
Jambho Ji was a Tanwar Rajput born in Village Peepasar of District Nagaur in 1451 A.D. He renounced all the worldly pleasures and practiced asceticism on a sand mound named Samrathal to have a glimpse of God. It is said that God appeared before him. Thereafter, he found the Vishnoi Sect. in 1485 A.D. and prescribed 20+9 rules, the followers of which are called Vishnoi. The people of this Sect. regard Jambho Ji as their Guru and deity.
In the year 1536 A.D., he on his own got entombed alive at a place known as Muktidham Mukam (3 Km away from Samrathal) in Tehsil Nokha. The tomb of Jambho Ji is very big, round shaped and is magnificently built.
Architecture of the Temple:
The Temple is built on an elevated place and white marble has been used in its construction.

The Temple remains open on all days from 5.00 A.M. to 10.00 P.M.
