Location of the Temple:
This Temple is situated at a distance of 6 Km from Barundani Railway Station in Village Singoli Shyam Ji, District Bhilwara, Rajasthan.
History of the Temple:
This Temple is dedicated to Lord Chaturbhuja Ji, the four armed deity Lord Vishnu. It was built in 1388 A.D. by Jetji, Khetji, Netji, the family members of Shrimati Gangabai, the widow of Shri Gopal Ram who had committed sati (self immolation) a year earlier. It is said that Jetji saw in his dream that the idol of Chaturbhuja Ji was lying buried in the river bed of Bedach river from where it was recovered and installed in this Temple. The idol of Lord Chaturbhuja Ji is four armed and is made of black stone.
Architecture of the Temple:
The temple has been built in the Nagar style of architecture and stone, lime soil, lead and marble have been used in its construction. The Sanctum Sanctorum, the circumbulatory path adorned with artistic mirror work, the verandah and the ornamental canopies are beautifully built. There is flight of stairs, from the main gate upto the verandah, which is covered by a magnificent roof-top. The ceiling is exceptionally ornamental. The Pinnacle is round-shaped and on the top of it, a kalasha is fixed.
Visiting Hours in the Temple:
The Temple remains open on all days from 5.00 A.M. to 1.00 P.M. and 2.00 P.M. to 9.00 P.M.
