It is said to be about 400 years old. It is revealed in the historical records that this Temple was built to commemorate the sacrifice of a Gurjar youth named Sawai Bhoj. He fell in love with Jaimati, the wife of the Raja of Bhenai. The Rajput ruler attacked and killed him along with his four brothers and mother. This Temple is a symbol of communal harmony as it has a Mosque named Baida Dargah adjacent to it. However, the Namaz (the Prayer offered by the Muslims) is not offered in this Mosque and it has only symbolic significance. The Temple Complex also has many small Temples dedicated to different deities.
